Description

Poppy is a free spirit. She's living her dream and radiates so much festivity that people around her can't help but adore her for it. She likes to have fun, but she's also a serious hard worker and doesn't like getting sidetracked too much. Every year is a count down to Halloween. She loves the Holiday so much that she created and opened "Graveside" a one of a kind club in Salem. Poppy is a nerd in a modern sex kittens body - she loves spellcrafting in much the same way human scientists love doing what they do. Wearing a long white lab coat and testing out new concoctions is one of her most favorite things to do. She's got an explosive drive in the most literal of senses - she's honestly blown the roof off of a building when testing out one of her "joke" spells.

Magical Talent

Poppy's specialty comes in the form of Jokes and short lived novelty spells. She absolutely loves the world of illusion, which is why Halloween is her favorite holiday. Silly spells and things you find at places like Baba Javas are her favorite things to make. She can, honestly, make you a pill that you take and all your bodily functions (burping, farting) will smell like cotton candy. Another of her favorite things to do are make common toys do magical things. Little winged pixies that float in the air for a short period of time, etc. She's very creative in her spell making and has dozens of books of spells that she's written entirely herself, so you often find her in her "laboratory" wearing goggles with neon glue all over her white lab coat. The spell that activates when people walk into Graveside is her creation.

Appearance

She's got a hip sort of look about her. Modern alternative with ranty accessories. Her eye makeup is usually smoky and her lips are usually covered in kids lip gloss - which means its more about taste and scent than actual lipstick and colour. Poppy has the sort of blonde hair that you can't tell if its natural or bleached. She usually wears it curly, which is a spell as her hair is normally pin straight. Her and her twin sister are exactly the same in face, height, everything. Except their style, hair, and choice of makeup and such makes them so easily two different people you wouldn't be able to confuse for one another.

Familiar

Latte is a calico tom cat. Poppy had originally thought he was a girl when she initially picked him out of the litter, but it became quite clear that he was a boy. His attitude shone. The man of the house, he's always bossing Poppy around while being lazy himself. He's got his own love life with Poppy's twin sisters familiar. Theres always kittens about and no matter how many times the girls think they've fixed them, theres always more kittens. Latte likes to prove himself by doing crazy cat stunts like testing out the whole 9 lives theory - jumping from high buildings and challenging big dogs, etc. Poppy often describes him as having a very hyper child to look after.

History

Poppy and Lotus were raised by two men, happily in love, who wanted a child of their own. They were blessed with two girls who would change their lives forever. So much so - for the good - that fifteen years later they went to the same surrogate and had another daughter, Snowdrop. The family has always been close, loving, and understanding of one another. They help each other out no matter what, because family comes first.

As her sister was into clothes and girly things, Poppy was always in love with costumes. Samhain/Halloween was her favorite thing in the world and it pretty much showed in the seriousness that she gave the holiday every day leading up to that one day. For Prom her dads enchanted a pumpkin into a carriage like Cinderella. It was the best night of her life.

She went to college and studied heavily in the science behind Earth Magics. She rents her own half of a laboratory where she makes Joke Spells and Gadgets meant to amuse, and sometimes scare. She loves making toys and mixing them with magic abilities, and so on and so on and so on. Poppy is like a kid when she's working and lights up with amazement. Most nights, though, you can find her at Graveside which she owns, operates, and controls by the way of the costumes people get spelled into.
