Description

Deliverance doesn't live a human lifestyle. She doesn't work a television or digital camera and vehicles are a big joke to her. She finds reading books too human, as she can lay a finger on a book and devour its contents inside of her mind. She has no respect for those in the Witch Community who live too humanly and often has made enemies out of her strong beliefs. Del also has a strong belief that Blood Magic is no different than Arcane or Earth and that people should not be ashamed to label themselves as practitioners, as it really just is a different level of Earth Magics. She doesn't view herself as good or bad, just normal and that everyone has to let a little evil into their lives to survive properly. One thing most people don't realize about her is that she likes to be a hidden force; a trickster, and above all a winner. She strives to put people down and perhaps its an unconscious need to prove she's better.

Magical Talent

As a Council Member and that of a family that goes back many more generations than your average roots, Deliverance has exceeded in the art of Blood Magics more than most expect. Not only does she specialize in ancient spells, long forgotten, and the complex but she can translate the best of them - some that haven't even been used in nearly a thousand years. Shapeshifting to her is simply like walking into another room, fluid and easy (and she has a wide variety of animals she can shift into at any given moment). She is a snake charmer and can influence any snake and bend their will, even calling them to her aid from afar. Among two of her most rare and awed abilities stem from "Medusa", she can turn herself into stone (much like a gargoyle) as well as, in rare cases, temporarily turn other people into stone. With this ability she can shapeshifter certain parts of her body into stone such as her fist when fighting. The second part is, quite obviously, having snakes for hair or growing snake-like fangs

Appearance

Deliverance is tall and thick, but by no means overweight. She's like an amazon with built features without being body builder-like. Thick thighs, long legs, strong hands and curves that make her goddess-like. She's eyes are globes of pitch black that in light will shine metallic. Her hair is onyx black, sleek and straight and sometimes windy like smoke. Her skin is a soft olive that screams ancestry in something darker. Although Del doesn't like modern human technologies and ways of life, she does enjoy in modern clothes. Mostly robes or sexy leathers and dramatic gothic-inspired gowns.

Familiar

Scheherazade (sha-hair-uh-zod; Del often calls her Hera) is a Naja naja - A beautiful Spectacled Cobra. She's a little over four feet long with beautiful scals and two circular patterns connected by a curved line, evoking the image of spectacles on the back of her hood. She is both deadly and a humorous little slithering friend... she loves to scare people, play jokes, and show up at the most inappropriate times.

Information

History

Deliverance descends from one of the few families that can trace her ancestry back more than a thousand years through Witchcraft. She was ultimately raised to hold a seat on the council as many of her family had before her. She is versed in all sorts of knowledge and has breathed the airs of many different countries and people. At the age of sixteen she fell in love with an older wizard. They grew attached and ignored the rumors surfacing about them throughout the well known Witches. She would become engadged to him in her late 20s and even have an affair with another man resulting in her daughter. She never married and her relationship with the other man ended. At age 40 she joined the Council and has been there eight years. She lives in Salem but owns a mansion in Italy which houses an entire wing of Ancient Spell Books and family treasures dating back farther than most people can imagine.
